Bilel Mohsni; speaks rather good English actually

Shrimpers centre-half and all round cult hero, the one and only Bilel Mohsni, may not have had enough time to recover from the ankle injury he picked up in the 2-0 win at Cheltenham Town over two weeks ago.

Though every effort will be given to getting the French Tunisian fit to face the U's at the Kassam Stadium on January 1st he has to be considered a major doubt, which will be blow to add to the loss of two-goal scorer Jack Midson in that game at Whaddon Road, probably to sit on the bench against us, and midfielder Josh Simpson, who could be on the way to big spending, er, Crawley Town!

Obviously Blues boss Paul Sturrock is a worried Luggy.

He told www.southendunited.co.uk: "We will give Bilel every possible opportunity to be involved but we're not sure if he's going to be available at this stage. We have one or two others with knocks as well which we're keeping an eye on so it's not ideal but it means the whole squad will be involved during this new year period."
