22 year-old Anthony Grant is in talks over a new contract according to www.skysports.com.
Anthony first joined the Shrimpers on loan from Chelsea before making the move permanent at the start of last season.
His current two-year deal runs out this summer and the site has him ready to agree a further two-and-a-half tears.
The surprise is not that we want Grant to stay, he's down as our most improved player so far this season, but the club are actually doing it this early, not our usual tactics!
Anyway, if true, good news.
