Barker: A happy man

Barker: 'I’ve been there and got the t-shirt so I realise what can happen'

It might be Halloween weekend but Shrimpers skipper Chris Barker does not want his side to have a nightmare at Moss Rose Saturday afternoon as they travel north to face Macclesfield Town in their latest League Two clash.

Barker told www.echo-news.co.uk: “Things can change very quickly in football and we have to keep on working hard like we have been doing to get the good results. I’ve been there and got the t-shirt so I realise what can happen. It’s still very early on in the season and, while we’re obviously delighted with where we are at this stage of the season, there is still an awful long way to go and plenty of hard matches to come. Macclesfield are also in very good form at the moment and they will make it us hard for us."

I'm sure the lads will listen and respond at the weekend.

COME ON YOU BLUES!!!!!!
