Shrimpers look to return loans

Jabo Ibehre

Ibehre: Safe to say, not a great success

Well, they liked him at Walsall.

If the missed chances and overall lack of effort over his four appearances wasn't enough to make Tilly's mind up, his sending off in the 1-0 defeat at Exeter should have done so.

All the Blues boss would tell the official site for now is: "If Jabo is banned for three games, then we will have to look at the situation regarding extending his loan, but I haven't thought about it yet."

Adding he would make a decision over the next couple of days, a couple of hours we would have said.

Back to the the Franchise Jabo and thanks for nothing.

Malone: Month deal officially finished

The latest of our left backs loaned from Wolves is a different matter.

Scott 'Bugsy' Malone has made five appearances in the side but has now finished his initial month loan period.

Johnny Herd was expected to be in training by now but no word from the club so an extention here could be requested. (Though that's not new and al la Sankofa we could see Johnny on the subs bench Boxing Day!)

Scott, at just 18, is a work in progress with no little skill and a mean cross at times, whether he's quite up to the trails and tribulations of regular League One football Tilly will have to decide.

He's certainly let no one down while he's been here and a further month if there are no other options should be acceptable to Tilly.

Then again George Friend is back in the West Midlands, but now he's had a taste of Premiership footballer as one of the Wolves 'weak' eleven put out at Old Trafford, returning to the Shrimpers may be beneath him!
