Scott Spencer; will not be facing Leeds, Brentford or Brighton, for starters

Blues boss Steve Tilson's team selection for Elland Road at the weekend just got easier, especially if Macca joins striker Scott Spencer as unavailable along with the suspended Franck Moussa, who will sit out the final game of his three-match suspension against Leeds.

O'Keefe and Crawford to be on from the start?

Physio John Stannard told www.southendunited.co.uk: "Scott went over on his ankle in the second half on Saturday. There's no fracture but we sent him for a scan today and we've put him in a protective boot. we will know more once we get those results back but he could be out for anything to two to four weeks."

In fact, after the scan Wednesday, the injury sustained after a clash with ex-Shrimper Gary Richards, has been confirmed as ligament and tendon damage and the former Everton trainee will be out for at least four weeks, meaning his season is over.

Easter may be over but keep praying that Macca's back for Leeds!

As for midfield terrier Alan McCormack, who missed the Easter Monday defeat at Gillingham with a sprained ankle, it's too early to tell if he'll be making the long trip to west Yorkshire.

Stannard continued: "Macca's in an air cast boot as well to help his injury heal. It's already looking better today but at the moment it's too early to say if he'll be fit for the weekend."

With Christophe's lamentable form since his return to the side we can only hope the next 48 hours bring Macca's full recovery!
