Shrimpers Injury Update

Easton: Shrimpers have to remain positive
Captain Craig is out for up to three weeks

Midfielder Craig Easton and left-back Peter Gilbert are still both out injured for the Friday evening League Two match with Hereford United at Roots hall.

And to make it worse centre-back Luke Prosser picked up a calf strain at Crewe and joins the long list of walking wounded.

With no sign of the promised loan signings Blues boss Paul Sturrock will have to decide on his starting line-up and get on the phone to borrow one or two of the youth team to sit on the subs bench!

Out: Peter Gilbert (ankle), Bilel Mohsni (ankle), Mark Phillips (groin), Craig Easton (calf), Miguel Comminges (knee), Luke Prosser (calf).

Dodgy: Chris Barker, Blair Sturrock, Barry Corr.

Of course if there's any more injuries or a suspension we are truly in shit street, if we're not allready, as we enter the last week of Luggy bringing any one in before May.

Luggy insists he's targeted 43 players but 28 decided to join other clubs with the rest remaining where the are, possibily to make sure they paid the mortgage.

Madness!

Possible Southend United at 10am Friday!: Morris, Clohessy, Coughlan, Barker, Herd, Ferdinand, Sawyer, Grant, Hall, Sturrock, Corr.

Subs: Evans, Bouzid, Woodyard, Soares, Crawford, Asante & another youth!
