Ryan Hall: 'I let everyone down that night'

So it's a suspended sentence for the Shrimpers star performer over recent weeks, the tricky winger Ryan Hall.

That allows him, if he reamins injury free, to see the season out and certainly line up against Steve Tilson's Lincoln City Saturday afternoon.

For now, in a statement released on the official website, Ryan apologies for his actions that actually led to a custodial sentence before given a second chance by a forgiving judge on appeal at Basildon Crown court Thursday morning.

Hall told www.southendunited.co.uk:

'I would like to to start by saying sorry to the supporters of Southend United - I let everybody down that night.

In December I made a bad decision and not a moment has gone by since, that I have not regretted the course of action I took.

I am thankful to the way the chairman, chief executive, manager and my teammates have stood by me durring this difficult period of my life.

The sentence that has been handed down to me is accepted and I will focus on putting something back into the community that has given me over the past seven months.

I am fully focused on repaying the loyalty everyone has shown me by working hard on the football pitch to help Southend United gain promotion this season.

Thank you for your support - it means a lot!'

That's all right mate, now and go and get a hat-trick against the Imps and you're truly forgiven.
