The Little Gazette caught up with Ricky Duncan after it was announced that the Shrimpers Youth team coach would be leaving Roots Hall at the end of this week

" Cambridge United have offered me a two year contract to help resurrect their Youth set-up at the Abbey Stadium and the move really excites me. I have enjoyed my time at Southend United but I feel it is time I moved on. I can leave knowing that two of my youth team players Anthony Clark and Daniel Lunan have made their debuts for the first team this season, that’s two players out of eight that have graduated to the first team, some clubs do not even have one player out of eighteen make it." said Ricky Duncan this afternoon

" I would like to thank The Little Gazette for the coverage they gave the youth team, the young players certainly appreciated it. I have enjoyed my time at Southend but now it is time to move on." said Duncan.
