Richards Could Be On Way Out At Roots Hall

Tony Richards could be set to leave Roots Hall.
Richards, who was uneffective in Blues reserve team clashes with Northampton two day's ago and Brighton last week, will not be part of tomorrow's squad that travels to Oxford United as he mulls over terminating his contract by mutual consent.

Richards joined Blues for £30,000 from Nationwide Conference side Barnet in July 2001, signing a two-year contract, but despite starting last season as first choice striker along with Daniel Webb, Richards never impressed at Roots Hall.

The powerful frontman netted only twice last season, both his goals coming in a superb all round performance in the 4-1 victory over Halifax Town at Roots Hall in late August.

We'll keep you updated on this story as it develops...
