Alex Revell: Will finally be released from his Shrimpers contract

Revell could not play in the Chairboys final match at home to Gillingham due to his
93-day emergency ending after their vital relegation six-pointer with Leyton Orient at the weekend.

However, Alex will not be back at Roots Hall after an agreement was reached which ensured he will remain a Chairboy on a permanent deal.

Wycombe's club secretary Keith Allen told www.wycombewanderers.co.uk: "As part of the agreement with Southend and the player, Alex will join the club on a permanent contract on Monday 3rd of May until Wednesday 30th June 2010. But with the registration deadline having passed, he will be unable to play for the club again this season. Everybody knew the situation when he signed in January and everybody knew he wasn't going to be able to play on the final day."

S24 wishes Alex the best of luck for the future, he always gave his best in a Shrimper shirt.
