Revell played a half in each of both Blues wins in their first two pre-season friendlies at Great Wakering and Witham, grabbing a goal in the latter game.
Speaking to the official site Alex said: "It's just fantastic to be out there with the rest of the lads again and to score a goal was just amazing as well. Missing the final four months of last season was pretty tough, so playing again means everything and I'm enjoying every second. I'm still feeling a little bit stiff after being out for so long, but that's to be expected.

Alex continued that he was confident of the side's future: "I think we've started pre-season really well with two good performances and everyone in our squad is a good player. We don't have the biggest of squads but other than maybe Huddersfield Town I don't think any team at this level has the size of squad they did a couple of seasons ago. That's how things have gone but we're doing well right now and, while results don't really matter at this stage, it would be nice to go to Canvey tomorrow and get another win to make it three in a row."
