Referee Russell apologises!

Tilly: "It's something he didn't have to do and we respect him for that."

It dosen't get the points back but at least it justifies the criticism he recieved from the travelling Shrimpers that witnessed his terrible peformance.

He was that bad.

Tilly told the Echo: "Fair play to him for doing that because he didn't have to. He rang up to say that Christophe shouldn't have been sent off, that we should have had a penalty when Franck Moussa got fouled in the area in the second half and that he also should have disallowed Swindon's second goal for a foul on Simon Francis."

Russell even called the FA to try to get Christophe out of the one-match suspension he's now unfairly got!

Sadly, that just adds insult to injury as he should know there's nothing that can be done as, according to the rules, the French midfielder received two yellow cards to be sent off and that cannot be reversed.

2-0 to us then!
