Race for Bramble Hots Up

Last updated : 02 June 2005 By Matt Donohue

The news comes as no surprise after Bramble had clearly been unhappy at Roots Hall ever since returning from his successful loan spell at Cambridge United. However after returning from the U’s after being relegated Tes cancelled his holiday to Las Vegas and began to help Southend’s playoff campaign, starting in the first leg match against Northampton. But disaster struck for Tes as any possibility of a fairytale was quashed and Bramble was injured and substituted at the half time interval.

It is though, without doubt that the Ipswich born attacker, has more than enough potential and this has been recognised by a number of clubs. The Southend Evening Echo have followed the story closely and have reported that League Two’s Rochdale and Lincoln have been following the striker’s progress. However they yesterday announced that Bramble could be making a bizarre move to Nottingham Forest in order to replace David Johnson and Marlon King. Although it is more likely that Tes will wind up in the basement division of the Football League once more, it will be an interesting story that we at TLG will follow over the summer.

TLG wish Bramble all the best in the future and hope that he unlocks the potential that he has (unless he is playing the Shrimpers!)
