Team News

Cannot see any reasons why Tilly will change the formula for this one though a step up from the previous two games.

Possible Southend United starting and changes: Mildenhall (Joyce h-t), Francis (Sankofa h-t), Juan (New signing *), Barrett (Reynolds h-t), De Vires (Herd h-t), Betsy (Laurent h-t), Christophe (Grant h-t), O'Keefe (McCormack h-t), Moussa (James-Lewis h-t), Revell (Freedman h-t), Barnard (Calver h-t).

Tilly, talking to the Echo, said about the game: "I've been pleased with the two games we've had but this will be our toughest test yet. Canvey had a good season last year so they will certainly give us a good game, and the pitch is good over there as well which is a big thing. I always look forward to going back there because I had a great time at the club as a player and it will be nice to see everyone again."

He also confirmed that injured strikers James Walker and Damien Scannel: "It's not worth taking any chances at this stage so we won't play them against Canvey."

* UPDATE: As we now know 6ft 4in Spanaird Martin Camano will take some part in to-night's game as will returning midfielder Lee Sawyer.

Remember, the Wivenhoe Town match planned for the following day has been postponed.

Next friendly; Saturday, July 18th, Chelmsford City (a), kick-off 15.00.
