Injury crisis, what injury crisis?

Both Stuart O'Keefe, knee ligament problem, and reserve keeper Ian Joyce, back spasms, (just after we allow Masters to leave), will not take part in to-nights friendly at Underhill in North London.

Also out will be skipper Adam Barrett, the official site tells us his dodgy knee is 'responding to treatment', let's hope so.

Osei Sankofa, while being seen having a light jog after his achilles injury, is not quite there yet.

Damien Scannell's has had an x-ray on his injured ankle and there is no fracture, so will now go for a MRI scan.

Joining Damien in the crocked knee club are Dougie Freedman and Kevin Betsy, who have resumed training but will also be kept back for a possible part in the final friendly at Stevenage Friday.

As for the game itself and Blues boss Steve Tilson told the official site: "It will be another good, competitive game which is what we need. It's all about getting sharp and fit for the start of the season and matches like this and the one at Stevenage on Friday will be a massive help."

Tilly has confirmed he will continue looking at Francis Laurent playing wide on the right-wing: "I had a chat with Francis and he thinks he can do well out there for us. It's certainly another option for us out there."

As reported yesterday in S24 the Barnet game will be decision time for the two central defenders, Harry Worley and Brian Saah, who will both play tonight.

Tilly continued: "You can only play trialists in two games so this will be the last chance we get to look at them in a game. We will see how they do again tonight and then go from there."

Having already seen Dutch striker Maceo Rigters play his two games Tilly has decided not to offer the Blackburn player a permanent contract.

Getting there

By Train

The nearest tube station is High Barnet which is the end of one route on the Northern Line. (Make sure you don't go to Edgware!) There is only five minutes walk down Barnet Hill to the ground (although it is a fair hike back up the hill after the game!).

Travelcards and Oysters to the ready as when you get to Fenchurch Street go to the Bank for the walk of a thousand steps to the Northern Line and the 45 minute journey.

For those entering Liverpool Street go to the Metropolitan/Hammersmith&City/Circle Line and travel the one stop to Moorgate and change to the Northern Line or take the five minute walk and go direct from Moorgate. The journey will take up to an hour.

Alternatively you can take a quicker train to New Barnet railway station, which is around fifteen minutes walk away from the ground. This station is served by trains from London Kings Cross and is a shorter journey time than the tube, taking around 20 minutes from Central London.

Coming out of New Barnet station turn right and then left into Station Road. Walk up to the traffic lights opposite the Odeon Cinema and turn right onto Barnet Hill (A1000). After going under a railway bridge, you will be able to see the ground behind the Old Red Lion pub on your left.

Alternatively you can get a bus from New Barnet Station; the 84, 384 or 107 buses run every 15 minutes or so from New Barnet to Underhill.

By Car

Leave the M25 at J23. Take the A1081 towards Barnet. Follow this road for about three miles. Continue towards Barnet as the road becomes the A1000. The ground is at the foot of Barnet Hill near to the junction with Station Road (A110). Street parking, not that the locals will luv ya, or there is a car park at High Barnet Underground Station (£3), which is well signposted around the area.
