It was announced today that Darren Huckerby will be out for up to four weeks with a groin injury, which he aggrevated in the game against Coventry at the weekend

Nigel Worthington revealed the injury, in his pre-match interview, he said,
"Huckerby is going to be out for a period of three to four weeks with a groin injury. It's something thats been there for a few weeks and it was aggravated on Saturday"

The news will please Southend manager Steve Tilson as it takes away some of the pace which Norwich have. Also Simon Francis will be pleased as he would have been the defebder given the responsibility to keep the tricky attacker at bay.

In other news, it was reported in the Sunday league paper, that Southend are reportedly after Neil Shipperly on loan, the strong centre forward, would be the 7th player who could play upfront if he was to join the Shrimpers.

There is no doubt that he can be a handfall but personally I feel we have enough forwards at the club, and all of them can score goals at this level
