Danny Webb clebrates Blues late leveller at Home Park last season.
Blues have not had the best of times when they've visited Home Park, although results in recent seasons have been more encouraging. It took Blues 14 attempts to record a win there, but included some heavy defeats along the way. Blues first travelled to Devon in Blues inaugural Football League season - 1920/21 - where they earned a 0-0 draw.

The following season saw a 4-0 defeat whilst season 1922/23 Blues managed a 1-1 draw. Blues then lost heavily the following three seasons, 7-1, 6-0 and 6-2. A more respectable 2-1 defeat occurred in season 1926/27, which was followed up with a 3-2 defeat in season 1927/28. Two 1-1 draws then followed before Plymouth gained promotion in season 1929/30.

Blues next visit came in season 1950/51, which saw the home side win 2-0, which was also the final result in season 1951/52. Once again the two sides went their separate ways (i.e. Plymouth were promoted!) and next met in season 1956/57 which resulted in a 0-0 draw. Then came Blues first ever victory at Home Park in season 1957/58 - 3-2. Plymouth got back to winning ways the following season though winning 3-1 and once again moved up the Football League.

The two sides next met on the second Saturday of the 1972/73 season which the Pilgrims won 2-0. The following season ended in a 1-1 draw whilst Plymouth won 1-0 in season 1974/75. Blues next visit happened in the 1978/79 season which resulted in a 1-1 draw whilst season 1979/80 ended 0-0. Season 1981/82 also saw a 0-0 draw whilst Plymouth won 1-0 the following campaign.

Blues were then stuffed 4-0 in season 1983/84 whilst an eight season gap occurred before Blues visited Home Park again in season 1991/92 (Blues first ever in the old Division Two.) That season saw Blues winning for just the second time at Home Park 2-0 helping to condemn the Pilgrims to relegation. Then Blues made it two wins out of two at Home Park in season 1997/98 after going almost eleven months without an away win Blues finally secured victory at Home Park by three goals to two.

Blues were on a roll now and won 3-0 the following season while Plymouth won 3-1 in season 1999/2000. Last season saw an amazing game that ended 3-3. With Blues 2-0 down after 23 minutes Daniel Webb scored on 45 to stage a comeback that was complete when Maher equalised from the spot on 77 minutes. However with Blues pressing for the winner Plymouth regained the lead from the spot four minutes from time, but deep into injury time Rob Newman popped up to earn Blues a deserved point and make TLG's overnight train journey home a little more sweeter.
