Paul Brush had this to say after the game " Southend only had two shots tonight, we should have killed them off but didn't. We were in complete control first half, we showed spirit and commitment, we should have scored more goals".

Brush was then asked about Kevin Maher " When Kevin Maher got the ball, that was the only time I was worried, I could see the killer pass coming from him. I would love to have him in the Leyton Orient side now, in fact I dont want him to go home tonight".

"We have made him an offer which we are allowed to do, we have agreed to match what Kevin wants on personal terms. We might have to wait untill the summer to sign him though. We have asked Southend to allow us to take over his current contract which runs until 30th June and we will also apply a sell-on clause but Southend have so far refused. I will speak to them again this week"
