Orient draw: Tilson disappointed, Nugent positive

Blues boss Steve Tilson, though believing Southend should have returned to Roots Hall with a win, is hoping the result will able his side to 'move on from here and start to climb the table.'

illy, speaking after the match to www.southendunited.co.uk said: "It was pleasing to see James score at the end but I thought we should have taken all three points. You do fear that you have lost the game at such a late stage, but at same time I'm disappointed, because I feel we should have won. We had plenty of chances in front of goal and we haven't taken them. Orient took the lead early on, but other than that I don't really remember them having too many chances in front of goal. I'm not sure why Christophe's goal wasn't allowed moments before James scored. It seemed a starnge decision to me. The injury problems don't help, but we will now be looking for three points at home to Yeovil this weekend."

Orient Caretaker boss Kevin Nugent was staying positive after his team were denied victory by an injury-time equaliser in a 1-1 draw against Southend.

Nugent, in charge of the Os following the departure of manager Martin Ling, saw his team denied what would have been only their third home win of the season by a superb strike from substitute James Walker.

He said: "It was a very tight game to be fair and we were holding on a little bit, but there were a lot of positives to come out of it. The lads worked tremendously hard, every single one of them, and I thought we might have done just enough to win it. We had lost a few on the bounce and we have stopped the rot. It has been a difficult week for the players and I think that has to be taken into consideration. It is never easy when a manager leaves and new people come in. There is still much work to be done. I thought we were slightly too deep in the first half and in the second I felt we invited too much pressure and made a few wrong choices in passing decisions."
