One Out

Around midday Southend's OS confirmed the rumours that Luke Guttridge has now left on loan to join local rivals Leyton Orient who are in League One.

Gutts playing against Sunderland eariler this season
Guttridge has been pushed down the pecking order as Alan McCormack has recently returned to the Blues for his second

Tilson told the official site “Luke needs game at the moment and presently he isn't getting that here”

He will review the situation in January as to whether Guttridge will be staying with the Blues.

One In

Just before the 5pm deadline Southend signed Sunderland's midfielder Arnua Riera, Tilson has brought in the ex Barcelona B player on an emergency loan to help support the thin squad at Roots Hall.

Barcelona
were reluctant to release Riera as he was a big talent at the club.

He has joined till January 1st, when I would image Tilson would like to make the move permanent.

Riera played against the Blues when we beat them 3-1 earlier in the season, but Riera's performance did impress.

He will wear number 27 and is available for the trip to Colchester on Saturday

*The move is yet to officially have been confirmed by the FA
