Anthony Grant Meet the blues day 2009.jpg

'Hey Macca, your a poodle, you try getting ten bookings before December'

As Johnny Herd returned to replace the suspended loanee Sean Morrison, and as Sean returns on Tuesday, it will be Anthony Grant who takes his turn to put his feet up!

And seeing as he's picked up his last set of five cards in the last six matches that's fairly impressive, Macca will wonder what's going on!

Simon Francis and Captain Adam Barrett will wonder what they have to do to have a break, no worries lads, getting knocked out of the cup will see the Blues not in action for a week after the Tuesday trip to Birkenhead.

A victim of a mad linesman last week at Yeovil and a referee who had lost the plot against the Franchise Friday night, sees our new right back come centre half Granty should miss the matches against Tranmere and Norwich after reaching the ten yellow card mark.

Awaiting official confirmation on that.

Anthony missed the MK Dons JPT match earlier this season when he got to five, and though unlucky with some of the second batch, the one agianst cralisle was unlucky as well, he will have to serve a further two match suspension and a letter from the League might be on it's way warning him about his future conduct.

A tough tackler, Granty is always going to attract the attention of referees looking to show off to the adjudicator in the stand, however as it's not even the new year yet and a further five could be on the cards, no pun intended, and God knows how long he might be out then!
