No New Shirt Sponsor For United

Rebus Technologies, Blues shirt sponsors for the past two years found themselves unable to renew their deal at the end of last season, the events of September 11th hitting the company really hard, and so Blues were left to hunt for a new sponsorship deal.

United's Commercial Department hit many obstacles however and dispite many and varied negotiations, a new deal could not be struck leaving Southend without a shirt sponsor.

Martin Dawn plc, who have joint rights along with Delancey, to South Eastern Leisure - the company who own Roots Hall - have stepped in to underwrite the income Blues would have recieved from.

The Little Gazette can also reveal that United will have three kits next season.  The home strip, which will be launched at Sunday's Meet the Blues Day, will once again be all navy, with a white stripe down the sleeve and the side of the shorts, a white hoop will also complete the navy socks.  The away kit will be all sky blue, and with navy on the sleeves and shorts whilst the second choice away kit will be red, again with navy on the sleeves and shorts, but with all navy socks.
