They might have raised from the ashes and the Conference Aldershot Town still have a small club attitude when it comes to dealing with financial matters.

Unlike Cheltenham Town last season, who accepted responsibilty for their fuse box exploding by allowing the travelling faithful the full monty, the Hampshire club, who said they knew something was wrong with the floodlights before the game, will be only giving a partial refund for the abandoned Boxing Day League Two clash if you can make the new date!

The match was called off at half-time with the Shrimpers one-up and the opposition down to ten men.

As long as you have kept your ticket from the original game you will get in to the EEB Stadium at a date still to be arranged at 50% of the new ticket cost.

As the game was an away fixture it is the hosts clubs ticketing policy that governs any refunds or discounts.

The club has since tweeted that Southend United's policy is similar toAldershot's, though they allow for some refund if you can't make the rearranged fixture, which is probably the same as Cheltenham's.

Each set of circumstances should be looked at individually, and here Aldershot Town FC have made a very poor decision.

The Shrimpers Trust is going to send a letter of complaint to the Shots.
