Mixed views on Macca having a go on Facebook about him not being paid

Many believe Blues midfielder Alan McCormack went over the line when he had a go against his employers on his Facebook page about not getting paid, others that he has every right.

S24 has still to see the alleged statement by the player but has to say, if true, these things are best done behind closed doors. The clubs in enough trouble as it is.

Still, it would show how some of Chairman Ron Martin's recent utterings on unity within the squad is woefully wide of the mark.

However, when Macca was available again for the match with Tranmere after a two match suspension, and was only named on the bench, cries of 'foul' could be heard from some of the faithful.

Could Tilly have bowed under pressure from above. Uncle Ron that is, not God, though some would debate the issue.

Simply, the Southend manager just believed the two centre midfielders, Jean-Francois Christophe and Franck Moussa, that started against Colchester last Monday, deserved to keep their place in those positions.

Tilly told www.echo-news.co.uk: "I thought Franck and Jeff (Christophe) were both excellent against Colchester. And that's why they stayed in the team for this game."

Macca came on anyway after only 53 minutes due to an injury to loanee Sanchez Watt, and had a fairly lively game, certainly getting more involved and creative than one or two already on the pitch.

The truth is out there!
