Newman Signs For Chelmsford

Newman signs for City.

Newman, who played alongside City boss Paul Parker for an England XI at Roots Hall on Monday night in Steve Tilson's Testimonial, has linked up with the ex-Manchester United and England man on a playing basis.

Thirty-nine year Newman has signed for City, who won the Essex Senior Cup last week, until the end of the season and is expected to play a part in the Chelmsford side that entertains Dover Athletic at New Lodge on Saturday.
