M'Voto: 'Leeds have done well, but we are a good team too'

Having signed on a six-month loan from Sunderland last month, after spending four years with Paris Saint-Germain, the 6ft 4inc centre half Jean-Yves M'voto has settled in well with the Shrimpers.

Having waited a while for regular first team football as Colchester loanee Matt Heath took the central defender spot with Captain Adam, M'Voto has put in three successive strong performances, helped by the two other Frenchman in the squad, Jean-Francois Christophe and Francis Laurent, and they should all be facing Leeds Friday evening.

M'Voto explained to the Echo: "It is nicer here than in Sunderland, especially the weather. (See what he says about that in January!) I haven't played in the first team at Sunderland so these games have given me more experience and there are certainly bigger crowds than in the reserves so I'm enjoying it."

And with a 10,000-plus crowd promised tonight he will certainly play in front of his biggest crowd yet.

Jean-Yves continued: "Leeds are a big club and this is a nice game to play in. They have done very well but we are a good team too so it will be a good game."
