Morrison on, Morrison off!

Centre back Sean Morrison joined on a month's loan from Swindon Town and will be with the Shrimpers until December 12.

Sadly, the home faithful will not be seeing him for a while as on the half hour at Huish Park Saturday he pulled back the Yeovil forward Obika, and as, in the referee's opinion, he was the last man in defence off he went, and he'll miss at least next Friday's match v MK Dons at Roots Hall.

Up to then the 6ft 4in 18-year old hadn't looked out of place, we'll have to wait to see how good he actually is!

Sean told the official site: "It's been difficult just training without a game at the end of the week, so when the chance to go out on loan came up I thought it would be a good option for me - to play week in, week out. Southend are a decent side and are doing well in League One and I think I would have regretted the decision to come here and get more experience."
