Martin: 'Tilson has attributes worth preserving but we need a positive approach on the field'

Chairman Ron speaks about the Paul Brush sacking

At least he's made a statement.

The usual stuff when a manager gets dismissed, but unusual that in this case it's the assistant to Blues boss Steve Tilson that got the push.

Paul Brush may give an ironic smile to 'I (Martin) have promised him that as a result of this necessary step he will not be financially hardshipped in any way'.

Seeing as he may have not been paid since December I'm not sure how more 'finacially hardshipped' he can be! Good one Ron.

Anyway, Tilly seems safe for now, though he may not want to hang around much longer and who could blame him.

Ron Martin - has decided to

Martin: 'Relegation for the club and it's supporters would be fatal'

A greatest hits of the latest quotes from Chairman Ron.

'The club's current League position is very concerning and not in my view reflective of the quality of the squad.'

'Relegation for the club and it's supporters would be fatal and as Chairman I am never going to let matter with your club drift and risk that calamity.'

'Steve Tilson has attributes I wish to preserve but at this time we need to bring new energy, a fresh outlook, momentum and most importantly a POSITIVE APPROACH to on field activities.'

'The position has been discussed fully with Steve Tilson who (in his own time) will need to bring in a permanent replacement or may opt for someone to adopt an interim role until the right individual can be identified.'

Martin does at least thank Brushy for 'his contribution over the years'.
