Echo tries to sell newspapers shock!

Uncle Ron, like Mr. King, is not one to take events lying down and he was always going to make sure everyone heard his side of the story, while missing out the bit about are we broke or not.

Mainly it boils down that we turned down 200k for Macca because we have a 'great midfield', though I'm not sure how Captain Adam feels about playing in a defence that Ron just rates as 'good'.

The strikers though lack a 'cutting edge', that will cheer up four goal Lee Barnard.

However, that's why Revell and Betsy were allowed to goal. In fact, we've been circulating them around for a few weeks! Revell even had the luxury of turning down Torquay or, er, Luton. Yes, Swindon does appeal if that was the choice.

No one enquired about Walker.

Anyway, he insists there will be some more loan signings when the window opens for those deals next week, we shall see.

As for the Echo, well S24 has kept out of that little row, though I have to agree Chris Phillips lecturing us all on how he broke the fact the club hasn't got a lot of dosh was a bit much to take, Chris we were talking about that in the pub over a year ago, but Ron does have to come clean about the balance sheet at some time.

Tonight's AGM would be a start.

Uncle Ron insists it's all the Echo's fault and the club will be talking to his lawyers.

Spencer Prior certainly gets it in the neck with Ron, if not signing players, signing a 10k check to Little Havens, even if the testimonial only bought in 4k not the 40 the Echo said. (Must admit the sums didn't really add up there, maybe Phillips forgot Spinner lives in Oz when he called him, 'what, it's 3 in the morning over here you twat!)

So we will have our a few words on the matter after all, well everyone else is, but not until after the AGM, and certainly not until the main reason we're all here, the Orient match on Friday.

And for all those who are going to protest, try and keep it as far away from my seat in the West Stand.

Without taking any moral high ground, once in Roots Hall, I'll be shouting for the team.

The rest can wait.
