Malone: The club look to extend his loan for another month
Southend have made a request to Wolverhampton Wanderers keep left back Scott Malone for a further four week period that the Premiership club have no problem with.
That will allow Scott to take part in the Christmas holiday local derbies against Colchester and Leyton Orient.
Still no word on Johnny Herd but he is obviously not considered ready to return to first team action just yet with a reserve game against Watford on January 4 a possible target.
Ibehre: Not so successful
On the other hand Franchise forward Jabo Ibehre has already returned to stadium:mk after no goals, a few missed chances, and a red card against Exeter in his four appearances with the Shrimpers.
The sending off at St. James' Park last weekend has led to a three match suspension which would have meant Jabo could only play in one game if his loan has been extended a further month.
