Macdonald: 'I don't think I was given a fair chance at Southend'

Last updated : 28 September 2009 By westfield shrimper
28-year old Macdonald scored five goals in 15 starts for Southend after a move from non-league Gravesend & Northfleet, but he never got a decent run in a Tilly side, sometimes coming back from injury and looking off the pace.

He should start for the Bees in a side searching for their first win in seven games after a bright start.

Charlie told the Ealing Gazette: "I don't think I got a fair chance at Southend, but I don't think I've got a point to prove to anyone either. A lot of their squad has changed since I was there, but they're a good, hard-working side and will give us a tough game."
