Macca will miss Swindon and Colchester, not the easiest of fixtures
Blues boss Steve Tilson has enough problems trying to turn his teams form around with the small squad at his disposal without losing one of his most influential players.
However, that what he has to do as Macca's 10th booking of the season against Millwall will see him miss the Swindon game on Saturday at Roots Hall and the televised fixture on Monday February 8th against essex rivals Colchester United.
Tilly told www.southendunited.co.uk: "I got a phone call at 12.30 to tell me that Francis Laurent's hamstring was sore and that he couldn't play, so that didn't help matters. Osei Sankofa had to come off ill at half time and now Alan McCormack is banned for two matches after picking up his 10th booking. Unfortunately, things just don't seem to be going our way at the moment."
