Macca gets to put his feet up again but for one match only

Another game, another red card, this time for midfielder Alan McCormack, who will not partake in the relegation six-pointer with Exeter City next Saturday at Roots Hall.

Blues boss Steve Tilson told www.echo-news.co.uk: "Macca was late with a tackle he made and it was two bookings. That means we're down to 14 or 15 professional players but that's the situation we've been facing for most of the season and we will just have to get on with it."

So Macca joins the already suspended Jean-Francois Christophe, he has three games to go, and Stuart O'Keefe, recovering from hernia operation, as the Shrimpers support hope Anthony Grant confirms his fitness in next Tuesday's reserve game against Norwich at home, kick-off 14.00 if you like blood sports.

Luckily, the Moose is OK so there will be some central midfield taking on the Grecians next weekend!
