Luggy on Ryan: 'Having a word with Hall & he'll have his a**e kicked if he steps out of line again'

Sturrock: New Shrimpers boss
Sturrock:

Shrimpers influential winger Ryan Hall was given back his freedom at Basildon Crown Court Thursday, and no one involved with the club is underplaying his importance to the team, especially his manager Paul Sturrock.

Luggy told www.echo-news.co.uk: "It's a huge tonic for the football club. The other night against Gillingham Ryan showed the qualities which have been bubbling under the surface for a while now and he's an exciting player. He's scoring goals now and has more assists than anyone in our league, so him being available is great news for us."

However, Sturrock made it clear that while he believed the revised verdict was correct Ryan did plead guilty to an affray outside Storm nightclub in Southend, and even with the 23-year-old being massively provoked, the Shrimpers manager would be punishing the winger for a breach of club discipline.

He revealed: "I will be having a word with him and his a**e will be kicked if he steps out of line again. He needs to have discipline in his game and in his life. He's been quite cavalier in his approach to life until now, but he has to understand that he could make himself financially sound by moving up the leagues because that's what his talents deserve."

Ryan scores an incredible brace for the Shrimpers Tuesday evening in the 2-2 draw with the Gills, and Steve Tilson's Imps will have to be watching him closely, and fairly we hope, if he is not to cause further havoc at Sincil Bank that he's well capable off.

Ask top scorer Barry Corr, the former Crystal Palace youth has laid quite a few of his 16 goals this season on a plate.
