Loanee Shrimper Back Being A Black Cat

Sadly, a premature farewell for M'Voto has been confirmed

M'Voto p
icked up the hip injury during the goalless draw with Leeds and only lasted one half against Brighton on September 19 before being substituted.

He even returned to parent club Sunderland to seek treatment before returning to south east Essex but never fully recovered.

The surgery was for the removal of loose bone in the hip joint and he will conitue the rehabilitation work needed over the next six weeks back at the Sunderland training facility.

As the present loan agreement is down to end on January 10th 2010, it's fair to say the powerful French defender may never wear the Blue of Southend again, which would be unfortunate as the 6ft 4in 21-year old certainly helped strengthen the back four in the 6 appearances he was able to make.

If there is a chance to get him back next year I'm sure Tilly will follow up on it.

In the meantime, S24 wishes him the best of luck with his recovery and hopes he returns to full fitness very soon.
