Legal Fox Hunt as Leicester hit town

The atmosphere in Southend at the weekend will be electric with another possible five figure gate as Leicester fans decend South hoping to see their team not only confirm promotion but win the League One championship and they will be packing the North Bank to make sure we hear them.

The Blues of course will not just lie down and let them do both as points are still vital, the play-offs still a mathamatical possibilty if unlikely, and anyway, no one wants to see a couple of thousand celebrating Foxes, hunting banned or not.

Certainly fit again striker Dougie Freedman, who is the brother in law of City's injured club captain Stephen Clemence, is sure in-form Southend will continue their improvement against the table-topping Foxes, who themselves are seven points clear of their closest challengers Peterborough United.

Veteran Dougie, who cannot be sure of even being on the subs bench, told the Echo: "Leicester are going to go up whatever happens against us. I can't see them not doing it now because they are a very strong side. This is a big game for us as well and it's a good chance for us to test ourselves against the best in our league. We do look like we are just going to miss out on the play-offs which is a shame but we have a point to prove and want to do well again."
