Tickets are £13 and £7 in the Layer Road Terrace
The Essex derby, a re-run of the Shrimpers 4-3 aggregate win over the U’s in the area final of the same competition, was moved to the Wednesday, as exclusively revealed by The Little Gazette some twelve hours before it was officially announced last Thursday, due to The Championship match between Ipswich Town and Reading at Portman Road on the Tuesday night preceding the fixture, and the requirement for Essex Police to bring in extra constables for the clash.

Once again, Colchester United have allocated Blues just under 1,100 tickets for the match, with both sections of the away terrace and some seating at the opposite end of their Layer Road ground available. In the terrace, where it is expected many people will seek to gain entry, prices have been set at £13 for adults and £7 for concessions. In the seats, the match will set you back £16 or £9, with prices reduced to £12 and £5 if you are part of a family group.

Tickets go on sale to Season Ticket Holders only from Wednesday 8th September until after the home match with Wycombe Wanderers this Saturday, the 11th, on a strictly first-come, first-served basis. On Monday 13th September, the remainder of the tickets will go on general sale. Only one ticket will be allocated to each person due to the anticipated demand for the game.
