Francis Laurent: An injury doubt for the Essex derby

Blues exciting forward Francis Laurent could be a doubt for the League One match with Colchester United at the Weston Homes Community Stadium Monday evening after picking up a knee injury.

He may be joined in getting a sick-note with winger Damian Scannell, who is limped away from training Thursday morning.

Blues boss Steve Tilson told www.echo-news.co.uk: "Francis has tweaked medial ligaments in his knee and Damian is also now getting treatment. Hopefully they will be fine though because we're short of options right now."

So who is 100% available, at the moment, of the possible starting line-up,(very flexible 4-4-2 with Simon and Scott Malone playing in front of Osei and Johnny): Mildenhall, Sankofa, Barrett, M'Voto, Herd, Francis, Moussa, Christophe, Malone, Spencer, Watt.  Subs: Bentley, Paterson, Freedman and some kids.

Not bad. Should be great entertainment for the watching millions on Sky Sports!

Dead men walking: Ian Joyce (neck injury), Pat Baldwin (terms of loan agreement), Anthony Grant (ankle), Alan McCormack (suspended), Stuart O'Keefe (suspected hernia), Francis Laurent (doubtful - knee), Scott Vernon (terms of loan agreement), Damien Scannell (limped off in training).

Throw in a Simon, Adam and Johnny, and that's not a bad side!
