Kidderminster Harriers v Southend United - Team News

Daniel Lunan has been named in Blues squad.
YOUTH Teamers Daniel Lunan and Anthony Clark have both been added to Rob Newman's squad for the trip to Kidderminster as United's numerous injury problems continue.

Returning to the Shrimpers 20-man squad is skipper Phil Whelan, having missed last weekend's victory over Scunthorpe United to be by the side of his wife who was giving birth to their second child. Whelan has been declared fit despite picking up a slight knock during Wednesday's reserve team encounter with Millwall.

In fact Whelan could be named as a centre forward, he played half of the Millwall match in that position, and United's only fit striker is Barrington Belgrave as Mark Rawle, Tes Bramble and Tony Richards are all still absent with groin injuries. It was Newman himself who played a goalscoring role as a makeshift striker last weeked and the manager will have to decide between himself and the captain for the striking role.

Mark Beard also returns to squad having returned from illness but new signings Rio Alderton and Adam Wallace will miss the trip, aswell as Monday's Roots Hall clash with Exeter City, as they missed Thursdays mid-day deadline.
Barrington Belgrave is United's only fit striker.

Southend are likely to stick with a similar starting line-up to the side that beat Scunthorpe with the only possible change seeing Whelan replace Newman up front. United travelled upto Worcestershire on Friday afternoon.
