Coughlan: 'I wasn't the best of footballers, but the one thing I had was desire and passion'
Even Blues boss Paul Sturrock couldn't face the press after such a poor performance that saw the Essex boys 12-match unbeaten league run come to an end and another record stuck on hold as a sixth successive away win was not to be and the home side racked up their fifth win in a row and twelfth in the last fourteen games!
The Robins' first home win over the Shrimpers in more than a decade also closed the gap between the teams to a single point, as the busy Christmas programme approaches.
Second-half goals from Russ Penn and Marlon Pack supplemented Jimmy Spencer's first-half strike, while the former league leaders managed only one effort on goal, I must have blinked, and were second best in every area.
So it was up to Luggy's loyal assistant on the touchline, the veteran Graham Coughlan, to try and explain the shambles.
He told the PA after the match: "The better team won. It could have been four or five to be honest. We had one shot on goal all day, which is not good enough. The players don't need to be told that, they already know themselves that we haven't got to the top of the league with that type of performance. It is very frustrating for me watching from the sidelines. I wasn't the best of footballers, but the one thing I had was desire and passion. There's a couple of our players who think they are better than they actually are and they may fall by the wayside, even out of the game, over the next couple of years because of that thought process."
Wonder who he means?
