'It's my club and I'll cry if I want to': Another Transfer Embargo As PFA Pays January Wages

By exiledessexboy
Tuesday, 9th March 2010
In an Echo report the players wages for January have now been paid, but only because of the intervention of the PFA, meaning no more loanees until it's sorted out. A personal view after Paul got his Brush-off and the Messaih comes back from the dead, again!
Oh dear. Ron obviously felt he saw 'something in his eyes' of Paul Brush, or whatever he caught in Steve Wignall, remember him, before getting rid of the last full time boss before Tilly back in 2003. (David Webb was caretaker before inbetween, and more on Webby later.)

Forget about the top scorer going in January, don't worry about having one of the smallest squads outside the Ryman League, and some of their teams probably have more players, as for said players not getting paid, par for the course with Ron Martin as chairman it seems.

Anyway, what are they moaning about? They've got their dosh, for January, and curtesy only of the Professional Footballers Association, who made sure it went into their bank accounts.

It does mean the transfer embargo is back, no wonder Grant Kerr is get another trail this afternoon against Norwich reserves, and they are still waiting for their February wages.

In these tough times I hope the squad are with some friendly financial institutions or a friendly fan could be giving a couple of quid to Macca to buy a pint outside his local Weatherspoons very soon.

There continues to be no named sources for these press reports, though Brushy may well have written something on a spare post-it note before he left, but to be honest I'm beyond caring now.

Good luck with the demonstrations after the game, personally I won't be involved, yet I totally understand them. Though I don't think anything will get through to the man in charge.

It's just been announced that David Webb has returned in Brushy's place. At 63 I wish him the best of luck, more on that elsewhere, good timing as ever Ron.

As with a lot of us I'll be at every game till this miserable season finishes, bar Oldham for personal reasons, and still believe Tilly, and now Webby, can get us out of this mess.

However some of the fight, the sheer willingness to get out into the freezing cold, overnight trips to Hartlepool for instance, and cheer on the lads to much needed points, has gone along with Brushy........and Clarkey, and Barney, even with the return of Webby.

It's my club and I'll cry if I want to.
