Is Tilly troubled enough to seek the land of concrete cows?

Has Tilly really applied to move to Milton Keynes?

Only last week Tilly, who saw his side relegated on Saturday to League Two, was saying: "I would never walk away from here, I'm just not that type of person.'

Well, according to the Milton Keynes Citizen he's 'believed to have applied for the job.'

'Believed.' A leading, or mis-leading, word.

However, a season of financial stress and having to deal with a delusional chairman might have caught up with him, he'll certainly get paid on time at the stadium:mk, he might even be able to buy a player or two.

There has also been speculation that Paul Trollope of Northampton has been approached, and assistant to departing boss Paul Ince, Karl Robinson, has certainly thrown his hat in the ring, and according to many Franchise supporters remains the favourite.

Both of these would make more sense than Tilly, whatever we think of him and appreciate the off-field problems he's had to deal with, the Blues boss has just delivered a second relegation in three seasons, hardly a great CV.

Then again, along with Brushy, (who knows he might have applied on Tilly's behalf XD), we also know of what he's achieved in the past, something that Dons chairman Pete Winkleman might appreciate.

Will Tilly fit in with the locals?

The paper also mentions that the Franchise supremo is after another 'big name'.

Does Tilly fit that bill, then again does former Ipswich and QPR boss Jim Magilto or er, Terry Butcher?

Terry might be a big man, if not such a big name nowadays, but a fairly useless manager, ask Brentford fans.

The question is, if Winkleman has not asked to speak to him is there any truth in the paper suggesting that Tilly has actually gone seeking the position?

Let's face it though, if he has, would any true Shrimper blame him?

Winkleman told www.miltonkeynes.co.uk: "We're still very much at a consideration stage and have yet to approach anybody with regard to the managerial position. Applications are still coming in and we plan to compile a shortlist over the next week, with a view to making an appointment around the end of the season."
