It's true.......we could see a former Borient strike force of Barny and Jason!!

Our new loanee from the Franchise, Jabo Ibehre, will be reunited with present Blues assistant manager, Paul Brush.

Ibehre told www.southendunited.co.uk: "I have known Paul for many years. At Leyton Orient he was my youth development coach and then he brought me through as first team manager. He gave me a chance so I have a lot of admiration and respect for him."

In fact he played with Lee Barnard when the Blues top scorer was on loan at Brisbane Road as well as holding the substitute record for the Orient with over 100 appearances on the bench!

And it was in that subs role for MK Dons last Friday that he saw enough of the Shrimpers to be impressed enough to join us for a month.

Jabo continued: "Steve Tilson and Paul Brush have always put out good sides over the years and they proved that the other week. There is an opportunity to go out and get regular football and get some game minutes under my belt. I have been injured so playing some games will help my fitness. I prefer to play upfront and that is where I played the majority of my football but I am happy out wide if that's what the manager wants."
