Osei Sankofa; 44 appearances over two seasons has left the club
Actually thought young Osei would get away with it, well if Simon goes we need someone to start at right back, and, well, I just thought he'd be cheap enough!
Sadly for the ex-Charlton man it's not to be and he'll be looking for a new team in the summer, and in all honesty I'd expect another League Two club to pick him up or at least a good Blue Square Premier one.
Osei put in some good performances last season when called upon due to injury or suspension in our small squad.
Though never blessed with any great pace he was strong in the tackle, won his fair share of headers when playing centre half, and up to Stockport away last October that saw him pick up his own injury, had won a majority of the Blues faithful over.
Even kept the name on everyone's lips at the moment, one Simon Francis, on the subs bench for a game or two if I remember correctly!
Blues boss Steve Tilson told www.southendunited.co.uk: "I think Osei needs to go and get himself more games next season to be honest. His opportuities have been few and far between with us, especially this season. He's always worked hard and given his all for us though and we wish him all the very best for the future."
