Blues boss Steve Tilson has waited patiently for the on loan transfer to be confirmed, but now the Frenchman has signed on the dotted line Tilly's convinced he's found the right man in M'voto.

M'voto: 'I look forward to playing my first game'

Talking to the official site Tilly said: "Jean-Yves is a good size and a decent height. We've had him watched and the reports we have received have been glowing so hopefully he will do well for us."

In fact it was a glowing reference from M'Voto's old manager at Sunderland, Roy Keane, who was with his new club Ipswich Town at Roots Hall for last month's friendly, which helped Tilly make up his mind to try and secure the deal with present Black Cat boss Steve Bruce.

Sunderland fans certainly believe we have the real deal in the French 20-year-old.

SuperStokesy confirmed this: "He's a man mountain with strength in abundance! Could become a quality centre half, I've been annoyed he hasn't featured in the pre season friendlies. I think he'll be easily good enough for league one. He's not even clumsy as you would expect, he'll be a good player I reckon if he gets the games and confidence."

Download07 said: "he looks a great player, seen him a couple of times for the reserves, also the bloke huge...like properly huge lol

While safc38 added: "I heard he's a real prospect and I hope he does a good job for Southend."

The player, all 6ft 4 of him, is looking forward to gaining 'valuable experience', and also spoke to the official site: "I was injured for a long time last season so that slowed me down. But I am fit now and I am looking forward to the next six months here at Southend. Sunderland have let me train here this week whilst the deal was finalised so I have already settled in. The club has a few French players which have made things easier."

Welcome to Roots Hall Jean-Yves and good luck.
