Harry stays on the subs bench as Irish Under-19's hang on in Euro tourney

Who is this Harrison Crawford?

In the Republic of Ireland's second match in the 2009/10 UEFA European Under-19 Championship elite round taking place in the Ukraine, Southend striker Harry Crawford didn't get the chance of adding to his first cap picked up in Wednesday's 1-0 defeat to group leaders England, where he played the first 45 minutes before being substituted.

This time coach Sean McCaffrey decided to start Harry on the bench where he wasn't called upon, however the land of his grandparents birth defeated reigning European Champions Ukraine 1-0 to keep their slim hopes of qualifying for this summer's UEFA Championship finals in France alive.

The only goal of the game came on the hour from the spot by Conor Clifford. a penalty-kick Earler, Manchester United's Robbie Brady was sent off after receieving his second yellow card following an alleged verbal altercation with Ukraine's Vasyl Pryyma two minutes into the second half.

In the other game, England hammered Bosnia & Herzegovina 4-0 victory which took the young three lions to the top of their group with six points from two games.

With only the group winners going through Ireland hope Ukraine defeat England by a single goal in the final game while the Irish beat Bosnia & Herzegovina by more than four goals.

Unlikely, but lets hope Harry gets some game time Monday afternoon.
