Gasman gets ready for Shrimpers: 'You can't go into any game afraid'

 

 

While the Shrimpers have now gone fifteen games unbeaten, thirteen of them wins, no superstitious remarks please, weekend opponents Bristol Rovers have won only four over the same number of games, losing nine, mixed form indeed.

 

But not one to bother the Pirates loanee fox centre-back, teenager Cian Bolder, the young Irishman is looking forward to the trip.

 

Bolger told www.thisisbristol.co.uk: "It's one to relish. You can't go into any game afraid and we won at Morecambe when they were top of the table. So we have to go there on Saturday looking to get a result."

 

And the travelling Gas support will expect nothing else; even so, he's experienced enough to fall back on those old clichés, the strikers are unlucky, and so are the ones trying to keep the goals out!

 

Bolger said: "I didn't think the performance was that bad – we had most of the possession and created a lot of chances, but couldn't convert them. The goals we conceded were disappointing and at the moment it's frustrating for everyone. If we were getting battered then we'd hold our hands up. But we are creating chances and not taking them. Clean sheets are key as well as they are not happening for us at the moment. It seems like every time the other team has a chance, they score. But hopefully things will turn for us and we can get a result on Saturday."
