Friend: 'I might have to speak to the lads up there'

Wolverhampton Wanderers left back George Friend has played for both the Grecians and Shrimpers on loan this season, he turned out six time for United and would have stayed longer if it hadn't been for the initial transfer embargo, and his present gaffer expects him to spill the beans on his former club.

Friend told www.thisisexeter.co.uk: "I guess I might be able to help out on that front. They have got two new strikers who I am not too sure about, but I certainly know about the other players in their squad. Obviously Paul (Tisdale) is a big tactician and we will have to wait and see what he says about the game. But I might have to speak to the lads up there and see what I can find out. If I can help in anyway I will do my best."

He should know another member of the Wolves full back loanee club now at the Shrimpers, Scott Malone, who may also start this afternoon.

For now Friend only has good things to say about his stay in south east Essex.

George continued: "I really hope it all comes out well for them in terms of whether or not they go into administration because it is a really nice club and I enjoyed playing for them."
