FA Cup: Road to Wembley
Southend United will play Preston North End at their famous Deepdale ground in the F.A. Cup First Round to be played over the weekend of November 11th-13th.
Well, the last time we were there we won 3-2 thanks to a couple of late crackers by Kevin Maher and Alan McCormack in our ill-fated Championship season on April 7th, 2007.
The draw was made by former Sutton United midfielder Matt Hanlan and the Coventry City cup final hero Keith Houchen, and it's the latter who we have to blame for the long journey up the M6, thanks Keith!

The lowest ranked team in the competition are the Ryman league North side of Redbridge who will be pleased to have been drawn at home, but maybe would have prefered Oxford United than their lower league neighbours Oxford City from the Evo-Stik League Southern.
East Thurrock United are at homte to Macclesfield, while if the Essex capital of Chelmsford City can triumph in their qualifying round replay against Gloucester City, they have a home game with AFC Telford, good luck to you all lads.
For the cameras Morecambe v Sheffirld Wednesday could be a tasty one, while for a potential shock FC Halifax Town v Chrissy Powell's league One leaders may be fun, and the Blue Square North side could certainly do with the money!
Personally, I would fancy the Hereford United v Yeovil Town tie, blimey, they're be some cider flowing at that one!
