F.A. Cup – Second Round Draw and Replay Information

Last updated : 09 November 2003 By Robert Craven

The replay will take place at Park Lane on Wednesday 19th November 2003, after consultation with Essex Police over the match, the same day as Ford United take on Port Vale in another giant-killing possibility. Southend United are expected to be given 500 tickets for the ground, which holds somewhere in the region of 4,000 in total. Tickets will go sale to season ticket holders first, although the official club website is yet to release any details of the date and prices involved. We at The Little Gazette will bring any news as we have it.

If the Shrimpers do prevail in ten days time, they will face Lincoln City in the second round of the world’s most prestigious domestic cup competition, after the Red Imps followed United out of the hat. City have already visited Roots Hall this season, defeating Blues 2-0, with Duncan Jupp missing a penalty. Of course Southend will first have to see off the Gulls, although with their away form as it is, there is a distinct possibility that that could happen.
